In celebration of L.A.'s rich cinematic history, The Movie Room launched for the first time ever at The Los Angeles Coffee Festival last year.
The Movie Room will be showcasing films throughout the festival depicting different aspects of coffee and coffee culture.
Our independent short films are bought you by the Coffee Art Project: Film Edition. The Coffee Art Project is a high profile, international art competition aimed at showcasing the talents of emerging and established artists, with work linked to the theme of coffee and coffee culture.
The competition encourages and supports talented artists by giving them a platform to gain high profile exposure and showcase their work to a vast new audience. The winner of The Coffee Art Project Los Angeles will receive $1,500 and will be announced at the festival on Sunday.
We will also showcase two short films by Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a three part documentary on the coffee leaf by Wize Monkey, and the first look at Califia Farms’ upcoming feature for Feeding Tomorrow, a documentary exploring the choices we make about what we eat.
All films will be shown on a rolling basis throughout the festival.
Warning: Some short films may contain strong language.
